The Good News: The Endagon softball team made it to the playoffs.
The Bad News: We lost by one run in a grueling duel in the first game of the playoffs.
Losing is never fun. But in a softball league where beer drinking and cursing is encouraged, it’s hard to believe that someone would take it so seriously.
I’m still reeling from last night’s loss. It was a brutal game that flopped back and forth. The most agonizing part is that we played better than the other team, yet we let it slip from us in the last inning.
We could’ve beaten the #1 ranked undefeated team and cruised to the championship.
Instead, we will have to wait a few months to conquer next season.
Until then, I will be resting my injured body parts.
Getting old sucks.
But losing sucks more.
