Sometimes when you are working on something with so much passion and focus, you tend to attain a skewed perspective on the process. This is dangerous because once you get so wrapped up into a certain way of thinking, it’s hard to get away from it. This could lead to you creating something that only pleases you or you may even end up looking at the whole process the wrong way altogether.
Take a step back for a moment. Take a breather. Try to look inside the work. Look around it. Are you able to discover new things about it?
Looking at things in different ways, especially your own products and services, is the best way to improve upon them. It’s second place to the actual feedback from your customers that you are trying to embody throughout the process.
